A lot of people out there are worried about globalization. Outsourcing is a big part of this. That being said, outsourcing jobs within the USA sparks very little criticism or controversy. People feel it is OK because you are keep the jobs in the country. The issue most people have is when those jobs are outsourced offshore to third world countries. The question becomes: Does this outsourcing really effect the economy?

The outsourcing economy issues arise as people realize that many of the jobs that could be done by Americans are going to poorer countries. Does it contribute to unemployment of skilled and educated workers within the U.S.? It does seem counterproductive in some ways to hire and pay workers who will not be contributing to our economy, but if it make your company more money, you may end up paying more taxes to the federal, state , and local government....these are all things that need to be considered when outsourcing.
Is it always a bad thing?
Absolutely not. Like stated above, in some ways outsourcing implications are quite the opposite. Sure the jobs that are being hired out of the country leave fewer jobs locally, but with this type of outsourcing can make for a stronger and more successful businesses. With more successful businesses comes stimulation in trade. More trade means more jobs. And so on. and so on. Listen, it works both ways. Sure, many American companies hire companies from other countries, but many companies from other countries outsource their work to America as well. It honestly doesn’t all go in one direction all the time.

It's true. A lot of people see outsourcing as a greed motivated. They are concerned that the economy at home is being negatively influenced by the practice of outsourcing to other countries.
What do people do when they are against outsourcing?
The only real recourse that people have is:
- To try to make a statement
- They might try to boycott companies that use outsourcing
- They may throw together a protest
What is the future of outsourcing?
Well, the benefits of outsourcing are pretty positive for most companies, so there is not likely to be a decrease in it any time soon. It will most likely continue to become more popular as time goes on.
